About this house

In July 2023, we acquired a new lease for the existing public house, The Cobden Arms. Upon completion, the venue was closed to undergo an extensive refurbishment and full rebrand of the premises. The refurbishment included a complete rewiring and replumbing of the property, alongside the renovation of all internal surfaces. Significant upgrades were also made, including the installation of new customer toilets, a redesigned bar, upgraded audio-visual systems, air conditioning, and a fully modernised kitchen, representing a significant investment. The establishment now operates seven days a week and benefits from a prime location just moments from Koko Nightclub, generating consistently high footfall. The venue features 16 draught lines with a strong emphasis on craft beer, while a specialist pizza operator runs a five-day-a-week franchised kitchen serving a range of 12-inch and 18-inch New York-style pizzas. Rather than focusing on live sports, the venue has established itself as a hub for community-driven entertainment, hosting regular quiz nights alongside local music and art events.
